Very tough Euroleague test for Valencia Basket on the FC Barcelona court
Valencia Basket men's team will try to change its recent dynamic in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in one of the most difficult courts to do so, that of FC Barcelona, in a top continental competition round 9 game (Friday 17, 20:30h, Palau Blaugrana, Movistar Plus+).
The taronja team will try to change its particular curse on this court, which it has not been able to win in any of its four previous visits in the Euroleague and its negative streak in games of this tournament on courts of Spanish opponents, which is five defeats in a row.
To do this, they will need to keep the positive aspects of their defeat on Tuesday and maintain the defensive performance that allows them to be the team that receives the fewest points in the competition. The precedent of this season is favorable to Valencia Basket, which three weeks ago won at La Fonteta in a Liga Endesa game by 71-68, although regarding that clash, the taronja team lost Harper and the blue and purple team recovered Laprovittola.
Coach Álex Mumbrú has moved the thirteen professional players he has available for this tour of Barcelona and Vitoria, with the absences of the injured Martin Hermannsson and Jared Harper.
Valencia Basket begins this ninth round in sixth
position in the Euroleague with a balance of 5-3.
